Education knows no age limitations. Whether you want to go back to school part time, or just improve upon a hobby, you’re never too old or too young to learn something new. In West Chester, Pennsylvania, there are endless opportunities to take classes in just about any subject that interests you, and can help you improve your mind, your body, and even the lives of your children!

Educating Mind and Body

Why not take a course that challenges both your body and mind? The Sama Center in West Chester is a great place to start for those looking to gain a balanced education. The center supports Western Medicine and Alternative Health Care, while helping individuals to grow physically, emotionally and spiritually. The center’s schedule for yoga and meditation classes is available online, and will appeal to both beginners and experts alike. They also offer more intense, longer workshops in a variety of subjects as well.

For the Little Sprouts

If you’re looking for a class more appropriate for your child, Little Sprout’s Village is a great place to introduce those little ones to a variety of different things. You never know, they may end up teaching YOU something! Trial classes are available for new families so you can get an in-depth look at the program before deciding which class would be a good fit for your child. Classes include: baking, arts and crafts, gardening, and nature and the arts, and are available at several times throughout the week. You can even register online. Little Sprout’s Village’s classes take children on a journey of exploration and adventure. Each class will spark their curiosity, ignite their creativity, and teach them ways to live their lives in harmony with the world around them.

Higher Education

If you have a more serious interest in continuing education, check out West Chester University. It is the second largest institution in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and the fourth largest university in the Philadelphia area. Adults can take classes part-time too if necessary. The center for adult studies within the university offers support and services for nontraditional students including a quick-admissions procedure, and both day and evening classes. As a non-degree student you take the same courses as everyone else and you earn the same college credit. The University is easily accessible, and is great way to start a college career or to gain personal and professional growth.
