If the iPhone didn’t do enough already, it is now helping astronomy students. The new educational iPhone apps are helping astronomy students reach the stars or at least locate the stars with the new applications.

While astronomy applications are not exactly beating down the doors of iTunes, you got to admit this is a cool new function of the iPhone. It already had the GPS system and since GPS and maps were already in place, it was only a matter of time before someone took this to the night sky. When they did, it took off like a rocket. These new apps were a hit with astronomy students looking to improve their grades.
